Frequently asked Questions

How long have you been doing this?

I have been photographing portraits and weddings for sixtenn years now specializing in weddings over the last nine years.  I still approach every wedding like it is my first & love what I do.  My aim is that I provide you with an unobtrusive, relaxed but professional service.

What style of photography do you do?

I would say my images are a mixture of photojournalistic and classic in style.   My aim is to provide you with images that are timeless.  I like to work unobtrusively to create a picture story of your wedding.  I love it when a couple contact me after their wedding day to say the images have took them back to their special day.

Do you take group photographs?

Your wedding day may be one of the only times that all your family get together in one place with family members traveling from all over.  I am naturally happy to include as many group shots as you wish and this can be done efficiently without fuss.  I recommend to aim for 6-10 group photographs – these should take no longer then 15 minutes.

I hate having my photo taken

As most of the photographs will be taken naturally of you enjoying your day there will not be too much posing.   This results in lots of fantastic natural images.  I like to take you away for 10-15 minutes to get some romantic images of the two of you, in this time we will make the session both fun and relaxing.  This is an enjoyable time for you both as you also get to spend a little bit of time together alone.  If you have not already seen your reception room and cake then this will be the time that you will first see these too.

What equipment do you use?

I use the best canon digital equipment and editing software.  I bring a selection of canon lenses together with back up equipment to all weddings.

Do you have insurance?

Yes, of course.  I am fully insured and have public liability and professional indemnity insurance.

Do we get to keep all our images?

Yes,  all my packages include dvd option where you receive all your images (minus blinks , duplicates etc) these will all have been individually colour corrected and polished by me ready to print.   You can add an album, box of photos or anything else to your package – only if you would like to.

What exactly do the album packages include?

All wedding packages include pre wedding meetings and the choice of receiving your images as prints in a presentation box or on a dvd or both of these.

Album packages include an album, album design time, black & white and colour images within the album and album consultation.

Once you have selected and got back to me with the images numbers that you have chosen to go in your album, the album can then be designed for you.  A virtual album is then sent to you for you to approve or to request any amendments.  Once I have received your approval you can expect your album 4-6 weeks later.

Can we choose different covers for our albums?

Yes, we will have a meeting and discuss all the options available.  I offer exquisite hand made albums that are all hand crafted with a choice of covers available in natural grain leather, distressed leather, leather-like/bonded, super suede, metal, timber and acrylic.

Albums can made to suit your personal requirements.

What happens if you are ill on our wedding day?

In the nine years that I have specialized in wedding photography there has never been an occasion that I have been unable to attend a wedding due to illness or any other reason.  In the very unlikely event that I am unable to attend I have a couple of trusted photographers of the same photography association to step in for me.

I am getting married on a week day is this any cheaper?

Yes, i do give a discount for mid week and off peak weddings.  Please call or email for a quote.

Are there any hidden extras in the pricing?

No, all the prices stated include vat and mileage unless your wedding is more then a few hours outside Reading, Berkshire.

How much time do you spend on photography?

This depends on which package you choose.   I normally arrive ninety minutes before the ceremony with the bride or groom to capture last minute preparations, moments with family members and the little events that make the day complete.  After capturing those wonderful moments which can include photographs with your bridesmaids -  it’s then onto the ceremony to capture the groom, best man and ushers with the arrivals of the guests too, the ceremony itself finishing at the start of the wedding breakfast.   This allows you to relax and enjoy your meal (I also stay for speeches if they are before the meal – I still love listening to the speeches at a wedding!).  I can come back for speeches if they after the meal, photograph your evening guests and first dance or set up the Clear Moments Studio Photo Booth.

What is the Clear Moments Photo Booth?

A fun activity that helps keep your guests entertained between speeches and dances.   As the day wears on and the drink has flowed, guests can wander over and have a blast having their portraits taken.  We will set up the photo booth at your reception to get some fantastic photographs of your family and friends.  This provides a great contrast in your album between the day images and the action of the booth.

Do you do parent albums?

Yes these are small albums available in three different colours and hold twenty different images.

How do we book you?

A completed booking form together with a £300 booking fee secures my services for your day.  I only shoot one wedding per day.  Please email tina@clearmomentsphotography or call 01189 422151 to check that I am available.  Once this has been confirmed I can then send a booking form to you and will be thrilled to be shooting your wedding day.icon smile Faq

PORTRAIT FAQ

Do you have a studio?

I hold studio sessions approximately once every 4-6 weeks.  A hall is hired and the dates are then advertised on my face book pages.  Please email me if you would like to go on a mailing list so that you can be updated of any new dates booked.   As I do not have the over heads of a permanent studio I am able to offer affordable prices with a good selection of packages.  Most my clients are regulars or I have been recommended to them by a previous client.

Will you come to our home or take some natural photographs of us somewhere outdoors?

Yes, photos at your home or in a favourite place make great portraits and are very popular now as people enjoy the more relaxed style of portrait.

Have you been to college?

Yes, when I started out all those years ago I attended two city and guilds photography courses at college which I really enjoyed and met some very inspiring people on.
