Frequently asked Questions
How long have you been doing this?
I have been photographing portraits and weddings for twenty one years now and specialise in wedding, portraits and maternity shoots. I still approach every wedding/shoot like it is my first & love what I do. My aim is that I provide you with an unobtrusive, relaxed but professional service.
What style of photography do you do?
I would say my images are photo journalistic and story telling in their style. My aim is to provide you with images that are timeless. I like to work unobtrusively to create a picture story of your wedding.
Do you take group photographs?
Yes of course. Your wedding day may be one of the only times that all your family get together in one place with family members traveling from all over. I am naturally happy to include group shots if requested and this can be done efficiently without fuss, these should take no longer then 15 minutes. I recommend to aim for 6-8 groups shots.
I hate having my photo taken
As most of the photographs will be taken naturally of you enjoying your day there will not be too much posing. This results in lots of fantastic natural images. I like to take you away for 10-15 minutes to get some images of the two of you together. This is an enjoyable time for you both as you also get to spend a little bit of time together alone. If you have not already seen your reception room and cake then this will be the time that you will first see these too.
What equipment do you use?
I use the best canon digital equipment and editing software. I bring a selection of canon lenses together with back up equipment to all weddings. I also bring along my fuji X100 sometimes to capture some candid images of guests and children.
Do you have insurance?
Yes, of course. Would be mad not to 🙂 . I am fully insured and have public liability and professional indemnity insurance.
What exactly do the album collections include?
All wedding collections include pre wedding meetings if required and a dvd or beautiful presented USB Stick in a presentation box of approximately 400 fully finished files supplied in both colour and black and white.
If you would like an album too this can be added on to your collection too and the price will includes the album, album design time, black & white and colour images within the album and album consultation.
Once you have selected and got back to me with the images numbers that you have chosen to go in your album, the album can then be designed for you. A virtual album is then sent to you for you to approve or to request any amendments. Once I have received your approval you can expect your album 4-6 weeks later Please click here for more information.
Do we get to keep all our images?
Yes, as mentioned above all my packages include a dvd or USB Stick where you receive all your images (minus blinks , duplicates etc) in both colour and black and white. These will all have been individually colour corrected and polished by me ready to print. You can add an album, box of photos or anything else to your package – only if you would like to.
Can we choose different covers for our albums?
Yes. I offer exquisite hand made albums that are all hand crafted with a choice of covers available in natural grain leather, distressed leather, leather-like/bonded, super suede, metal, timber and acrylic.
Albums can made to suit your personal requirements.
What happens if you are ill on our wedding day?
There has never been an occasion that I have been unable to attend a wedding due to illness or any other reason. In the very unlikely event that I am unable to attend, I would contact a number of other photographers of the same style as myself who I know and trust to professionally photograph your wedding day.
I am getting married on a week day is this any cheaper?
Yes, i do give a discount for mid week and off peak weddings. Please call or email for a quote.
Are there any hidden extras in the pricing?
No, all the prices stated include vat and mileage as well as my time on the day, time retouching images and a minimum of 400 images supplied in both colour and black and white on a beautiful usb stick in a gorgeous usb box.
How much time do you spend on photography?
I normally arrive ninety minutes before the ceremony with the bride or groom to capture last minute preparations, moments with family members and the little events that make the day complete. After capturing those wonderful moments which can include photographs with your bridesmaids – it’s then onto the ceremony to capture the groom, best man and ushers and the arrivals of the guests too, the ceremony itself, speeches. I seriously still love listening to the speeches at weddings!. I will also capture your first dance and stay for longer too to capture the reception.
What is the Clear Moments Photo Booth?
A fun activity that helps keep your guests entertained between speeches and dances. As the day wears on and the drink has flowed, guests can wander over and have a blast having their portraits taken. We will set up the photo booth at your reception to get some fantastic photographs of your family and friends. This provides a great contrast in your album between the day images and the action of the booth.
Do you do parent albums?
How do we book you?
A completed booking form together with a £400 booking fee secures my services for your day. I only shoot one wedding per day. Please email tina@clearmomentsphotography or call 01189 422151 to check that I am available. Once this has been confirmed I can then send a booking form to you and will be thrilled to be shooting your wedding day. 🙂
