Berkshire Pantomime Photographs | Cheerleaders open the show | Purley Players

Last week I returned home from a great photography seminar in Reading to an answer machine message asking if I could photograph the cheerleaders opening the show at one of the Purley players performances.  I later received a text from a friend asking would I like to buy two tickets from her.  As my youngest daughter was one of the cheerleaders and desperately wanted to watch the whole show I knew I was meant to go to my first pantomime performance that week.

I have never watched panto and to be completely honest it has never really appealed to me but I had been meaning to take Sienna one day to one so was happy to go along.  I was not disappointed we had a lovely evening.  “oh yes we did”

I started the evening off finding our seats then I waited by the stage for our lovely little cheerleaders.  I did not use flash in the images below as I wanted the atmosphere to be felt in the images plus I did not want the girls to notice me.

Once their opening performance was over, Sienna was sneaked out to the front to join me in the crowd to watch the show.  We enjoyed buying chocolate, drinks and sitting on the back seats as Sienna got to stand up.  She loved watching all the booing in the crowds and conquered her fear of snow white.  Sienna giggled lots but she was also the biggest fidget ever.

The Purley players are like professionals and kept the whole audience fully entertained.  Below are some of my favourites of the girls performing their song.  They did so well and us mummies are still very proud of the girls.  Well done all the Purley players too the actors and everyone back stage worked extremely hard and succeeded in putting on four brilliant performances.
