Sam & Jade’s Wedding Day | Easthampstead Park, Wokingham

Sam & Jade booked me for their wedding photography at Easthampstead park in Wokingham having seen their friends wedding photographs that I had taken a few years back.  When we met up for a pre wedding meeting one month before the wedding day they where just so excited, so happy and totally in love. I really enjoyed the meeting as they both did not stop smiling and chatting.  I was also very excited as I would be photographing my first same sex wedding.

Sam & Jade met at school and later found love together.  On their wedding day they where surrounded by loving family, great friends and lots of children. Jade’s son was a huge part of the day and was happy playing with all his friends and family all day and being given loads of attention by Sam & Jade.  They are such a fun loving couple and made sure all the kids where having fun & spoilt them all with gifts and lots of attention.

Sam and Jade’s mums where amazing on the day and fantastic to work with.  Both so proud and happy and enjoyed the wedding day very much.

I am very greatful to Sam & Jade for choosing me to photograph their big day.  Having been a wedding photographer for many years it was really exciting to photograph a same sex wedding which as it turns out is no different at all except maybe a little more emotional.  I really felt emotional myself when watching Sam’s reactions and emotions as she was waiting for Jade to walk down the aisle.

It was also the first wedding that I attended that played Gangnam style.  The first of many. 🙂

Thank you Tina, such lovely words! We had a magical day and thanks to your hard work we can re-live it all again.. Whenever we want! You where amazing running around here there and everywhere very patient and a very calm friendly and lovely lady… Would highly recommend to anyone, we will be returning for your services  xx

Nice Job Tina! many lovely images there, although the one of the two little girls running just jumps out of me because of its symmetry. Alexis

My 5 photography goals for 2013

I am not keen on the term ‘new years resolution’ but I like to set monthly & annual goals.  I’ve been doing this for around a decade now.  I set a few professional ones and a few new personal ones.  It keeps me motivated and is a way of life now.  I make sure these goals include keeping up things that I enjoy doing and that make my life healthier like my running, guitar lessons, keeping up  with weekly sessions of off road mountain biking with my dad and getting the right balance between work and family.

I was very happy yesterday to start the new year with a new years day run, that is something I have never done before and was a new goal I had set myself.  It felt fantastic.

Here are My 5 photography goals for 2013. I will visit this post same time, next year and see if I have managed to achieve them all.

1. Car

It is time for a new car as I am travelling more and more with my weddings and shoots.  I will try not to buy a mini despite keep looking at them and will try to be practical and buy a car more suited for carrying my mobile studio around.  This goal is going to be most difficult and I am not sure I am going to be able to resist.  Apparently me and big cars are not suited so it may have to be the mini. 🙂

2. New equipment

I aim to purchase two new lenses.  I then hope to shoot most weddings on 2-3 lenses to maintain consistency and get to know each lens completely.   2013 is the year I will get my Canon mark III camera and new apple desktop computer.

3. Inspiration

Documentary photography is what I love. I have started the new year on my amazon account purchasing a few books based on the works of documentary photographers that I admire.  Looking forward to being inspired by some fantastic photographers and seeing how it affects the way I see things.

4. 2013 Diary

I aim to book at least one maternity shoot in the diary every week in 2013 (two to three a week is my goal and would be a dream) as well as at least one indian wedding and a few same sex weddings too. I have been doing this for many years now and am seeking variety and new experiences in 2013 to keep me excited about what I do and love.

5.  Blogging

I failed last year at this but this year I aim to blog often at least twice a week. I actually have already completed a post click here to check it out.  I also hope to make time to post lots more of my personal work.

Adam Riley - January 29, 2013 - 3:42 pm

Good luck with the goals Tina – I’m sure your have no problem reaching them 🙂

Happy new year to everyone – A few words and wedding images to round up 2012 from me

Every year photographers from near and far round up their year with an end of year blog post reflecting on the past 12 months in pictures and words.  Well new years eve has arrived and so has my end of year blog post just in time.

This year I have decided to show some of my favourite images from recent weddings.  I should have narrowed this down to forty favourite images really, but it was a difficult task so I added some extra ones.

2012 has been another fantastic year and I hope it has been a good year for you too. I have been very lucky to have another year photographing lots of weddings, family portraits and maternity shoots.  As well as many other shoots for local schools, businesses etc.

For next year I hope for more of the same but I hope to photograph many more maternity shoots on week days, I would really love to photograph at least one indian wedding in 2013 and lots more same sex marriages.  I would really love to photograph the royal bump too, but that may be aiming too high.

I still love my work as I get to photograph lots of great people.  It is a great honour for families and couples to choose me to photograph them and their special occasions.  SO THANK YOU to everyone that has picked me to be part of their lives and their families life by allowing me to document it.

Why not grab a cup of tea, take a seat and take a look through some of my favourite images from weddings that I have been luckily enough to photograph.

I hope you all have a healthy, wealthy and happy 2013 and would like to say a HUGE thanks to all clients past and new and to everyone that reads my blog.

Berkshire Wedding Photography | Another Easthampstead Park wedding | Laura & Shaun’s wedding day

I met Laura a quite a few years ago when I photographed all the children at a nursery she worked at.  Laura is friends with Kerry, one of my best friends & not long after we met we all shared a really great girls night out and that sealed our friendship.

I was so happy when Laura got in touch to book me for her wedding.  Meeting Shaun was fantastic too as I could see Laura had found someone who deserved her love, Shaun is obviously completely in love with her.  Their love for each other really showed throughout their wedding day and I actually felt tearful watching the reactions of Laura’s mum and Shaun as they got ready then to watch Laura walk down the aisle.

It was a lovely day with a bouncy castle for the kids and Shaun 🙂

So not only did I get to see friends in love get married.  I also worked at one of my favourite venues Easthampstead Park.

It was a gorgeous, emotional and fun day.

Laura with her best friend – the very lovely & kind NaomiThis girl is fantastic and I loved spending time with her again – another lovely friend

Easthampstead Park Wedding Photographer | Michelle & Colin’s Wedding

I have been photographing many fantastic wedding’s in different parts of England recently which I have really enjoyed, however I did not realise how much I missed Easthampstaed Park in Wokingham, Berkshire until I returned there to photograph the wedding of Michelle & Colin a few weeks ago.  I always feel so at home photographing weddings here and this one was no different.

I knew Michelle & Colin where going to be great to work with when I met up with them a few weeks before the big day.  Colin had a few ideas that he wanted covered so although I normally work alone on this occasion I hired another professional photographer/friend called Sally to be with the boys in the morning whilst I would be at Easthampstead Park photographing Michelle and the girls.

Michelle and Colin got married at the very beautiful St Michaels Church in Sandhurst.  The service was lovely and the choir where brilliant.  After the ceremony we headed back to Easthampstead park for the reception.

In the evening Michelle & Colin hired the Clear Moments Photo Booth.  Everyone really enjoyed the music and booth.  Here are a few favourites from the day and evening.
