Hello! I’m Tina – a Berkshire based documentary wedding photographer & portrait photographer with 16 years experience. I live in a small village in Reading, close to the river, with my husband and two daughters. I am available to photograph weddings throughout Berkshire and across the UK.
My photography style is based on a story telling approach and often my shooting style can be described at reportage, documentary style or photojournalism.
I will photograph your day without intervening. I will not ask you to pose or direct your wedding day. Having photographed over one hundred weddings over the years and developed my own style I am happy to leave behind the traditional wedding techniques of stopping the proceedings to pose bride and grooms throughout their wedding day. The wedding day is about you & your guests, for you to relax and enjoy. I will unobtrusively record the most important day of your lives working quietly capturing all the emotions with timeless, honest images. I am of course happy to take a small number of group portraits and fully understand the importance of these images.
My passion for photography started at a young age thanks to my parents giving me all their old cameras over the years. The first camera I purchased for myself was a medium-format Hasselblad. I shot my first few years of weddings on film. In my own time I also like to photograph people and am also interested in street photography. This people watching style of photography is instrumental in my development as a documentary style wedding photographer helping me to understand people more and refining my skills of being able to anticipate the next image.
To capture emotion & love and record it in an image that will be kept and looked at for years on is a beautiful thing!
